About Digital Service and Products

The Digital Service and Products team builds modern, sustainable digital products to better serve San Francisco residents, businesses, and visitors.

We leverage digital assets and tools to modernize brick-and-mortar civic services. Our work creates online alternatives for a constituency that increasingly expects an app for that to satisfy their service needs.

Focusing on alignment of our current resources, the Digital Service and Products team will deliver digital products that are best in the industry. The team has made significant improvements in this area with initiatives such as the San Francisco Business Portal, DAHLIA, and the Office of Short Term Rentals by leveraging a proven “Skunk Works” approach. The Digital Service and Products team will focus on expanding these and similar efforts through a thoughtful staffing plan, close coordination with the City’s constituency to understand their needs, and rapid development of new products while iterating existing ones.
